Bikinis take over Mill Avenue! Although school has started again at ASU, there seems to be no end in sight for the extreme summer heat. With these crazy temperatures, it's probably no coincidence that Mainstream Magazine chose a swimsuit theme for its latest release party and fashion show.

The Back 2 School Swimsuit Fashion Show at Studio 301 provided models the opportunity to treat guests to a fantastic display of vintage and modern swimwear. The vintage pinup couture included dozens of polka dots and high waisted shorts for a fun, flattering look. Alternatively, the modern designs displayed sleek and trim single piece suits.

Mainstream is an entertainment magazine, covering the latest trends and happenings around the valley. Mainstream Magazine works with local talent and venues to provide exposure to large audiences and can be found at radio stations and various clubs around town, with an average of 20,000 copies distributed per issue.

Studio 301 was the perfect venue for this event. This 3rd floor penthouse and patio bar overlooks Mill Avenue in Tempe and features trendy decor with high bar tables and comfortable couch areas.

No fashion show is complete without talented makeup artists and hair stylists. While walking toward the back corner of the bar, guests were surprised to find what can only be described as a mini salon, with curling irons and makeup as far as the eye can see! Artists from the Jennifer Andre Salon created the vintage looks, with big curls and matte red lipstick. Jennifer Andre Salon is a Paul Mitchell focus salon located in Scottsdale.
