Artists throw paint in downtown Phoenix! Fusion was the theme for this month's RAW showcase, spotlighting creations from clothing designers, artists, photographers and musicians. Guests at the Ghost Lounge, enjoyed cocktails while admiring collections, listening to smooth sounds and mingling with the artists. The night was capped off by a fashion show, with models parading through the lounge showcasing new design creations and bold hair and makeup. Guests at this event were treated to some unique art, including bold canvas paintings, candy themed photographs and energetic models sporting chopstick headdresses, funky vinyl and big pink hair!

RAW showcases provide the perfect opportunity for artists to network with each other and collaborate on projects. It is also a fantastic opportunity for them to promote their work to potential buyers. RAW is an independent arts organization with chapters in Phoenix, Los Angeles, New York and other cities connecting artists and fostering creativity.

Historic Ghost Lounge in the San Carlos Hotel has hosted notable artists and actors since the late 1920's. With over 200 people in attendance at this event, the Ghost Lounge was busting out at the seams! RAW events have been gaining exposure and popularity in recent months. Due to the increased demand, RAW has decided to move its showcases to a larger venue, The Foundry on First. Also located in downtown Phoenix, The Foundry on First is a multi-purpose venue with capacity for up to 1,500 people. The next Phoenix RAW showcase, "Junction" will take place September 9, 2011.
